Willie Young Sr., 88 of Richmond, VA, formerly of Waukegan, IL passed away on Monday April 23, 2018 in Richmond, VA.
He was born on May 2, 1929 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to the Fred & Harriet (Allen) Young Sr. On July 18, 1957 he married Mattie L. Young. She preceded him in death on May 22, 1993. On August 26, 2010 he married Lorene Young. She preceded him in death on October 17, 2012. Willie spent 20 years in the U.S. Army, retiring in 1971 Sgt. 1st Class.
Willie is survived by his children; Tyjuan Z. Young, Yolandra Young, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wive's; Mattie Young and Lorene M. Young, his parents, his children; Willie Young Jr., Yagua Yvette Young, his brother's; Fred Young Jr., Walter Young Jr., and his sister Dorothy Young.
Visitation will be held on Saturday May 5, 2018 from 10:00to 11:00 A.M. at Warren Funeral Home located at 1475 N. Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, Il. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
The Family is being assisted by Warren Funeral Home.
