The purpose of the annual meeting is to elect the Directors of the Association and for the transaction of such other business as may come before the meeting.

Jennifer Hay has been a licensed attorney since 2001, with over two decades of experience spanning legal, strategic, and executive leadership roles. She joined PLC in 2018 as Associate General Counsel and has since held key leadership positions including General Counsel in February 2020, Chief Strategy Officer and General Counsel in September 2022, and President and General Counsel in August 2024. Ms. Hay brings more than 15 years of in-house legal expertise advising public and international companies, including more than a decade of direct experience in the funeral and cemetery profession. Her expertise spans various functional areas including Legal, Human Resources, Audit and Compliance, Safety, and Risk Management, reflecting her ability to lead and integrate multidisciplinary teams. She is also engaged in the broader funeral and cemetery profession, serving as a board member for the HeartLight Center and a member of the Finance Committee for the Funeral Service Foundation. Before joining PLC, Ms. Hay held key roles at prominent organizations, including Whole Foods Market, Inc., LDR Spine USA, Inc., and Carriage Services, Inc., where she demonstrated a commitment to operational excellence and strategic innovation.

Mike Elliott serves as Park Lawn’s General Counsel and Secretary and also oversees Park Lawn’s Risk Management team. Mike joined Park Lawn in January 2023. A licensed attorney since 2009 following law school at The George Washington University Law School, Mike began his career as a pharmaceutical and medical device civil defense attorney. He worked for a publicly traded deathcare company for almost six years prior to joining Park Lawn, including as Senior Legal Counsel and the Chief Compliance Officer over that company’s registered investment advisor. Mike brings many years of experience in the deathcare sector and has spoken multiple times at industry conferences.

Markus Sturm joined Park Lawn as Chief Financial Officer in November 2025. He brings over a decade of experience leading multi-unit, consumer-facing hospitality businesses. Prior to joining Park Lawn, Markus spent ten years at Restaurant Brands International. Most of his time at RBI was on the executive team of Tim Hortons overseeing certain business units and as the Chief Officer of several functions, including Finance, Marketing, and Digital. He prioritizes building strong teams, data-driven decision-making, and customer centricity to drive strong risk-adjusted returns. Prior to RBI, Markus was a Mergers & Acquisitions Investment Banker at RBC Capital Markets. Markus lives in Toronto with his wife and daughter.

Importantly, please note that no action will be taken at this meeting that will impact your rights or responsibilities as a cemetery property owner in any regard. To the contrary, this meeting is a routine administrative process only; and, your cemetery property and your existing funeral and cemetery contracts will remain valid and enforceable as written.
